Travel Programme

The University of Leicester Development and Alumni Relations Office has teamed up with IMA Travel to offer specialised tours for its graduates. The tours are intended to be both educational and entertaining for like-minded alumni travellers. We hope that they will be of interest to you.

IMA is the leading designer and operator of Alumni tours in the United Kingdom, and are able to bring decades of experience to bear in arranging that vital combination of learning and leisure for the perceptive traveller.

The tours cover a wide range of the natural world, from the earliest traces of man to the origin of the species on the Galapagos Islands. The Ancient Egypt itinerary includes a fascinating visit to the Red Sea Monasteries and the Western Desert Oases, while the classical world comes to life along the stunning Turquoise coast of Turkey from the Hellespont to ancient Lycia. Less arduous European river tours are also available.

The following tours will run during 2009/10, and will operate either in conjunction with alumni from other Universities, or solely for graduates of the University of Leicester, depending on demand:
