Undergraduate Teaching
The Department of Cell Physiology and Pharmacology is heavily involved with teaching in the School of Biological Sciences. Nine courses are convened by members of the Department and we also contribute to another. These modules can be taken by students studying for a BSc Biological Sciences Degree, or by students studying for any of the named degrees. In the majority of cases students register for some, or all of these courses if they intend to graduate with a BSc (Physiology with Pharmacology) or if they wish to have a BSc Biological Sciences with a Physiology/Pharmacology bias. Some of the more common course modules are as follows:
First Semester |
Second Semester | |
Year 1 | none | BS1006 Introduction to Cellular and Systems Physiology |
Year 2 | BS2013 Physiology and Pharmacology I | BS2014 Physiology
and Pharmacology II BS2060 Research Skills - this is a compulsory module |
Year 3 | BS3054 Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology |
BS3033 Brain
and Behaviour |
These are only a small selection of all of the modules available within the School of Biological Sciences. For further information see Biological Sciences Modules.
If you are currently undertaking a 3rd Year Undergraduate Project in the Department, you must read the 3rd Year Project Students page.
