Centre for Advanced Electronically Controlled
Drives
INTRODUCTION |
This centre and these projects have mostly
moved to the Company Technelec
Ltd, |
Who are we?The Centre for
Advanced Electronically Controlled Drives is part of the Electrical
and Electronic Power Engineering Research Group in the Engineering Department
at the University of Leicester. We specialize in innovative power electronic
solutions for power supplies and motor drives. Our work on switched
reluctance drives and more recently on flux switching motors has an
international reputation. The
Group is led by Professor Charles Pollock.
What do we do?
Switched Reluctance Drives
High efficiency switched reluctance drives
with short flux loops
Low Cost single and two phase switched reluctance
drives
A novel electronically controlled propulsion
motor
Analysis and reduction of acoustic noise
in the switched reluctance motor
Automated design, analysis and simulation
software
Dual Voltage Switched Reluctance Drives
