Functions:
Academic and Research Services is composed of three
related areas of academic administration. The Research Support Office is the
University's central office for providing advice on research funding and
contracts, and plays a key role in increasing the University’s external research
income. The Quality Office and Graduate School Support Section provides
administrative and secretarial support for University committees and panels with
particular responsibility for the management of the academic quality and
standards of the University's teaching activity. The Governance, Planning and
Registry section supports good governance within the University, coordinates the
University’s strategic and operational planning processes, and is responsible
for student-related administration at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The offices of the Faculty of Medicine and Biological Sciences are located principally in the Maurice Shock Medical Sciences Building.
