Improving Your Information and Research Skills

Specialist Information Librarians offer information skills support in a variety of ways:

Individual advice

We can provide guidance on finding information by helping you to decide which sources to use, how to identify keywords and how to limit search results. You can request assistance by email, telephone or fax, or if you are visiting contact us before your visit to see if we can arrange an appointment, during office hours, for a one to one session.

Internet tutorials

Group Sessions

We provide sessions in consultation with Academic Departments for those students able to attend at the University for study and research days, residential and summer schools.

Specialist Information Librarians

If you need to improve your information search skills for a particular subject contact the Information Librarian responsible for that subject area. You can find their contact details by choosing your subject from the A to Z list.
