Welcome to the Department of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation Website

The Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation at the University of Leicester was formed in August 2003 by over 60 members of staff drawn from many different specialities.

The Department seeks to build upon its solid research base by involving graduate students in its management.

We also contribute to multiple undergraduate courses, including the new BSc degree in Medical Microbiology (New February 2009).

We also have a new section for Postgraduate Students, containing form templates for review meetings.

MSc in Infection and Immunity course. The MSc degree has been designed to integrate current cutting-edge research knowledge of important infectious diseases and their relationship to the immune system.

Postgraduate Studentships available, also please see the latest Departmental PhD Studentships.

There is a section containing internal pages for Departmental staff: This contains information on purchasing, University holiday closures, annual leave and sickness reporting and job vacancies. A new section on travel insurance has also been included.

The Health & Safety webpages include information on Departmental First Aiders, Contacts, Procedures and Hazard Alerts. This site has been updated to include the protocol for taking blood in the Department.

For any of these issues a list of contacts can be found here.
