The Purchasing Office is a key part of the University administration responsible for;

  • Developing University's Procurement Strategy Action Plan and Purchasing Policy.
  • Monitoring compliance with University's Purchasing Policy.
  • Preparing annual reports on purchasing activities and issues for Purchasing Sub Committee.
  • Overseeing tendering activities for major and strategic purchasing arrangements.
  • Providing purchasing advice and guidance to departments.
  • Deciding appropriate levels of delegation and accountability.
  • Developing individual purchasing strategies for key areas of expenditure.
