The Faculty of Arts

The Arts faculty is home to six departments and schools at the University of Leicester: Archaeology and Ancient History, English, Historical Studies, History of Art and Film, Modern Languages and Museum Studies. Housed within these departments are nine specialist research centres. We offer single-subject and combined degree courses encompassing a wide cross-section of disciplines drawn from the research excellence and teaching strengths of the six Departments. The Faculty also has strong links with other Departments within the University, and these are utilised to offer cross-Faculty multi-disciplinary degrees and course modules. The diversity of subjects available and the environment in which you will study ensure that your time at the University of Leicester will be stimulating, educational, rewarding and fun.
